We are a small well-established business, trading since 1996. We sell promotional merchandise (with an emphasis on sustainability) and direct mail services. We re looking for an experienced part time bookkeeper to join our busy team, and help keep our finances running smoothly. This is a flexible role with the opportunity to work around your schedule ideal for someone looking to balance out work with other commitments. Responsibilities: Entering sales and purchase invoices and payments. Making payments to suppliers. Dealing with customer overdue accounts. Checking supplier invoices costs against orders. Bank reconciliation. Handling the monthly payroll. Running the VAT quarter end and submitting VAT Return. Completing various admin tasks associated with the bookkeeping function. As we re a small business, you would take full responsibility for taking care of the books, and would report directly to the two directors. Requirements: A minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience is essential. A little payroll experience is also required, though the payroll is very small. Formal qualifications are not strictly necessary, experience is more important. Though preference may be given to candidates with AAT or ICB qualifications. Good working knowledge of Excel, though no formal qualifications are necessary. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
