Bookkeeper
Reporting directly to senior management, this is a varied and hands-on role within an SME environment. The position will suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys managing a broad workload, maintaining accurate financial records and providing reliable financial information to support business decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging the day-to-day finance functionPoint of contact for the MD for all finance mattersMaintaining the sales and purchase ledgersProcessing supplier invoices and paymentForecasting costs for upcoming jobs Raising sales invoices and monitoring customer accountsManaging credit control activities and chasing outstanding balancesCompleting bank reconciliations and cashflow monitoringProcessing expenses and maintaining accurate financial recordsMaintaining financial controls and improving finance processes where appropriateManage payroll on a weekly and monthly basisProduce monthly profit and loss reportEnsure compliance with HMRCProviding financial and administrative support to the wider businessCandidate ProfilePrevious experience in a Bookkeeper, Accounts Manager, Finance Manager or similar all-round finance roleStrong bookkeeping and transactional accounting experienceGood systems and Excel skillsWell organised with strong attention to detailAAT qualified or qualified by experience candidates will be consideredSalary and BenefitsSalary circa £35,000Full-time permanent rolePension schemeGenerous holiday entitlementSupportive and stable working ..... full job details .....
