The Role

The successful candidate will take ownership of bookkeeping duties across a varied portfolio of small business clients. Working closely with the wider accounts team, you will ensure accurate and timely financial records are maintained and support the smooth running of client accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
  • Bank reconciliations and maintenance of ledgers
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and management accounts support
  • Liaising with clients in a professional and responsive manner
  • Supporting senior accountants and the wider team as required
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience in a bookkeeping role within practice or industry
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
