Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant
We are currently working with a friendly and well-established firm of accountants who are looking to recruit a Bookkeeping / Accounts Assistant to join their growing team.This is a flexible opportunity offering both full-time and part-time hours, with the potential for hybrid working. The firm has a supportive environment and works with a varied client base, making this a well-rounded role with good exposure. The Role: You will be supporting a portfolio of clients with their day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting requirements within a practice environment. The role offers a mix of responsibility and support, ideal for someone looking to further develop their experience. Key duties will include:Processing bookkeeping for a range of clients across different sectorsMaintaining purchase and sales ledgersPerforming bank reconciliationsAssisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returnsSupporting the production of management accountsEnsuring client records are accurate, complete, and up to dateLiaising with clients to resolve queries and request informationAssisting senior team members with ad hoc duties as required About YouPrevious experience within an accountancy practice or self-employed bookkeeping work is preferredGood understanding of bookkeeping and VAT processesExperience with software such as Xero, QuickBooks or similar What s on OfferFlexible working (full-time or part-time)Potential for hybrid workingSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity to ..... full job details .....
