Location: Bredbury, Stockport
Pay: -20.00 per hour PAYE / -26.50 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Temporary - initially 1-3 months, likely to be extended
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-6:00pm

ES Recruit are recruiting for an experienced Bonded Warehouse Manager to join a busy manufacturing operation based in Bredbury, Stockport.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of bonded stock, customs procedures, HMRC requirements and stock control, alongside experience coordinating the day-to-day operation of a busy warehouse.

Who the role would suit

This position would suit an experienced Warehouse Manager, Bonded Warehouse Manager, Customs Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor who has previously worked within an HMRC-regulated or customs-controlled warehouse environment.

Previous bonded warehouse experience is essential, along with strong stock control knowledge and the ability to work effectively within a busy manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day running of the warehouse
• Ensure compliance with bonded warehouse and HMRC requirements
• Manage and control bonded and customs-controlled stock
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements and inventory
• Oversee goods in and goods out
• Ensure all relevant documentation and warehouse records are accurate and compliant
• Monitor stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies
• Ensure production lines are supplied with the correct materials and kits
• Maintain stock records and movements using Business Central
• Support HMRC/customs requirements, audits and stock checks where required
• Maintain a visible, hands-on presence within the warehouse
• Resolve operational and stock-related issues quickly
• Work closely with the Head of Operations and wider production team
• Maintain an organised, efficient and compliant warehouse environment

Essential Experience

• Previous experience working within a bonded warehouse
• Good understanding of HMRC requirements and customs procedures
• Experience managing or controlling bonded stock
• Strong warehouse and inventory control experience
• Previous supervisory or warehouse management experience
• Experience with warehouse/ERP stock management systems
• Strong attention to detail, particularly around documentation and stock movements
