BOM Specialist

We''re recruiting on behalf of an innovative manufacturing business seeking a Bills of Materials (BOM) & Item Master Controller to take ownership of critical product data, Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, and engineering change control processes.

Key Responsibilities

• The Bills of Materials (BOM) specialist will be owning and governing Item Master data within Business Central.
• Creating and maintaining accurate multi-level BOM structures.
• Managing BOM revisions, effectivity dates, and engineering change implementation.
• Supporting MRP planning activities and resolving data-related planning exceptions.
• Driving master data standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Acting as the key link between Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Finance teams.

Key Attributes

• 3 years'' experience in manufacturing, planning, engineering, or master data management.
• Strong understanding of BOM structures and MRP principles.
• The BOM Specialist will need to have good ERP experience, ideally Microsoft Business Central.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience within discrete manufacturing, assembly, or engineered products environments.
