Bodyshop Panel Technician Citygate Bodyshop, St Albans OTE: £60,000 Role overview We are currently looking for a Bodyshop Panel Technician to join our Bodyshop at our Wooburn Green site. As a Panel Technician you will carry out all workshop work in an efficient and safe manner, to meet customer requirements and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity Key responsibilities As a Bodyshop Panel Technician, your key responsibilities will be: Evaluate the extent of damage: Before starting any repairs, you must assess the damage to the vehicle''s body and determine the most efficient and effective way to repair it using the manufacturers approved repair methods. Preparing the damaged area: This involves removing any damaged parts, such as bumpers, panels or doors, and preparing the area for repairs utilising the latest repair processes. Repairing or replacing damaged parts: You must be skilled in welding, soldering, and metalworking techniques to repair or replace damaged panels or parts of the vehicle. Inspecting and testing the repairs: Once repairs are completed, you are expected to thoroughly inspect and test the repaired area to ensure it is functioning properly and meets industry standards. Maintaining equipment and tools: You are responsible for maintaining your equipment and tools, including welding equipment, sanders and grinders.
