Duties of a paint sprayer

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Mix paints and colours to achieve desired shades and textures.
• Use hand tools and power tools to facilitate surface preparation and finishing tasks.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project.
• Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment as necessary to support project requirements.

Requirements of a paint sprayer

• Proven experience in painting or decorating roles is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating equipment and troubleshooting issues.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and sanders.
• Experience with power tools including spray guns, drills, and grinders.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks.
• Good physical fitness with the ability to work in various weather conditions if required.
• Prior experience or familiarity with safety procedures related to painting activities is desirable.
