I''m working with a well-established marine business based at Portland Marina that''s looking to recruit a Boatyard Technician to join its experienced team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work across boat repair, maintenance and refit projects, with the chance to work on a wide variety of vessels up to 24 metres. Whether your background is in boatbuilding, marine engineering, boat repair or refit, this role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to continue developing your skills within a professional boatyard environment. The Role As a Boatyard Technician, you''ll be involved in a broad range of maintenance and refit work, including:Carrying out repair, maintenance and refit work on vessels up to 24 metresInstalling and replacing marine hardware, including hatches, deck fittings and seacocksBasic marine electrical work, including pumps and lightingPlumbing and associated boat systemsPolishing, finishing and general boat maintenanceDelivering work to a high standard while working safely and efficiently to agreed timescalesYour workload will be varied, with tasks matched to your experience while also providing opportunities to learn new skills across different areas of boat maintenance.
