The Role The role of the Boarding House Cleaner is an essential part of the day to day running of the School and cleaning to a high standard is required in all areas of the School. Overall Purpose and Responsibilities Cleaning of boarding houses will include washrooms, bedrooms, small kitchen areas(butteries) and all communal areas. House cleaning is done in teams of 3 or 4 with a designated area for each staff member to clean. The cleaning day starts once the pupils have left the boarding house and continues up until lunchtime. Whilst this is predominately a term time role, all Cleaners are required to work the week before the start of term and the week after the end of term (known as spring clean weeks).
