BMS Small Works Engineer

The Opportunity

We''re looking for an experienced BMS Service & Small Works Engineer to join a growing and well-established team covering the Midlands. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of service, maintenance, and small project delivery, with a strong focus on customer interaction and technical problem solving.

You''ll be working across a regional patch (typically within 1.5 hours of home), supporting a range of commercial and industrial clients while delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out service, maintenance, and reactive callouts on BMS systems

• Deliver small works projects on time and within budget

• Diagnose faults and optimise system performance

• Assist with site surveys and early-stage design input

• Review project scope to ensure alignment with specifications and client requirements

• Produce weekly progress reports and technical documentation

• Support design progression through RFIs and technical submissions

• Assist with sourcing subcontractors and coordinating works

• Contribute to value engineering and continuous system improvements

• Support the planning and scheduling of works with suppliers and subcontractors

Requirements

• Experience working with BMS systems such as Trend, Tridium, or Schneider

• Electrically competent with strong fault-finding ability

• Valid UK driving licence

• Good IT and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
