Bizerba Test Engineer

Bizerba Test Engineer - Derby - 2 days a week (3 months initially) We are looking for an experienced Bizerba Engineer to support the testing and assessment of self-service checkout weighing scales at our customers Derby site. The engineer will be responsible for testing weighing-scale units brought into the site from various supermarkets, ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly and meets the required technical and operational standards. The role will involve testing approximately 10-14 units per day. Previous Bizerba training and hands-on engineering experience is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities Test and assess self-service checkout weighing scales received from supermarket sites.Diagnose faults and identify issues with weighing equipment.Carry out functional and operational testing to confirm equipment is working correctly.Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues where required.Record test results, faults and any remedial work undertaken.Ensure equipment is tested consistently against defined procedures and standards.Handle a high volume of equipment, with an expected throughput of approximately 10-14 units per day.Escalate complex or recurring technical issues where appropriate.Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
