Biology Teacher

Teacher of Biology Location: South East LondonStart Date: September 2026 The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Biology to join a well-established Science Department from September 2026. The Teacher of Biology will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Biology lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities, supporting strong academic outcomes while encouraging curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject. The successful Teacher of Biology will join a collaborative Science Department with excellent resources and modern teaching facilities. The role will involve teaching Biology across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including preparation for GCSE and A Level examinations. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality Biology lessons in line with departmental schemes of work. Assess, record and report on students'' progress and attainment. Maintain excellent and up-to-date subject knowledge and develop engaging teaching resources. Prepare students effectively for external examinations and qualifications. Promote positive behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment. Contribute to departmental meetings, parents'' evenings and whole-school training. Support students'' academic progress, wellbeing and personal development. Undertake pastoral responsibilities, including form tutoring where required.
