This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who enjoys creating high-quality tender submissions, developing strong relationships, and making a visible impact within a growing organisation. The role offers genuine flexibility and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to help shape the future direction of the business.
The Role
Working alongside the directors and senior management team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth by managing bid submissions, enhancing marketing activity, and developing meaningful social value initiatives across a diverse portfolio of construction projects throughout the Southwest.

With social value becoming an increasingly important part of public sector procurement, this role will be instrumental in helping the business demonstrate its commitment to local communities and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

  • Research client requirements and tailor submissions to maximise quality scores and competitiveness.
  • Prepare supporting bid documentation including case studies, project information, CVs, presentations, and marketing material.
  • Support company marketing activities including website updates, social media content, branding, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with business development activities, networking events, stakeholder engagement, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Build relationships with local schools, colleges, charities, community organisations, and supply chain partners to deliver measurable social value outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience within a bid coordination, bid writing, social value, marketing, or business development role, ideally gained within construction, engineering, infrastructure, property, or the wider built environment.
They will be an organised, proactive, and confident communicator who can work independently while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders.
Key skills and experience will include:
  • Experience preparing bids, tenders, PQQs, or social value submissions.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • An understanding of the construction or built environment sector.
  • The ability to produce persuasive, client-focused submissions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confidence building relationships with clients, communities, and industry contacts.
  • A positive attitude with a genuine interest in supporting business growth.
  • Full UK driving licence.
