Overview

Bid Manager - Northern Europe for GE Vernova, Power Conversion and Storage. Responsible for overseeing Power Stability bid management in the NEU region, ensuring winning, high-quality, profitable, compliant and on-time proposals across the Power Stability portfolio (from full EPC turnkey to engineered packages). Reports to the NEU Commercial Operations and Risk Leader.Responsibilities

Lead all functions involved in elaboration of Power Stability offers from Go/No-Go to final submission and transfer to the OTR teams for successful bids, ensuring understanding of customer technical needs and defining the best delivery model to maximise profit and cash. Explore alternative technical solutions, sourcing, and innovative content to differentiate proposals while ensuring executability.During Opportunity Identification: support the Sales team in defining and confirming scope and deal strategy.Accountable for TandCs analysis and related deviations, cash optimization, price schedule completion, integration of EHS and Security Plans, and assessment of financial securities with support from concerned functions.Accountable for submission of bids (Budget, Firm, BAFO), negotiating and signing contracts with customers in line with internal validation processes and Delegation of Authority.Monitor and identify resource requirements to support medium and long-term strategies.Support the Risk leader to review and identify ITO process, procedures and guidelines improvements.Coordinate with Sales to drive identification, qualification, and selection of consortium partners.Propose post-mortem analyses for key deals to improve solutions and customer approach.Organise feedback from OTR teams to ITO teams and ensure lessons learnt are considered by Power Stability ITO teams.Provide feedback on customer and market needs (technical gaps, commercial needs) and share winning arguments.Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and processes; report or resolve non-conformances in a timely manner.Demonstrate leadership and ensure full compliance with the PCS Tendering process and associated gate reviews.Ensure compliance with GE Code of Ethics and EHS on all projects.Go/No-Go and ITO process – winning commercial strategies

Collaborate with Sales to monitor market prices and define target selling prices to win projects while maximizing profitability.Drive selection of partners and legal setup with support from relevant functions.Establish optimized financing schemes with Finance teams.Ensure Sales Map understanding and addressing customer needs.Drive differentiation from competition to optimise GE selling value.Drive deal approvals through the R-Process.Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor''s degree from an accredited university or college.Experience in a large international engineering projects environment with proven success in managing complex tenders or projects of medium to large scale; strong understanding of commercial management and contract terms.Willingness to travel.Desired Characteristics

Expertise in bid and tender management, operations, customer relationships, team management and development.Proven ability to lead contract negotiations in an international environment.Excellent knowledge of the PCS business and products and of EPC turnkey.Operational rigor, strong business acumen, leadership, and discipline in day-to-day management.Excellent communication skills; ability to work in international and matrix organizations; team player and motivator.Ability to make decisions with a sense of urgency.English required; another language is a plus.Benefits
