About the Role


Due to continued growth within our Bid and Marketing team, we are seeking an experienced and talented Bid Manager to join our Belfast office. This newly created role will be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality bids across a range of mechanical, electrical, energy, and renewable installation and maintenance projects.
The successful candidate will possess strong bid management and bid writing skills, with the ability to produce compelling, winning submissions for both public and private sector opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity review and qualification through to submission and mobilisation.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of public and private sector bids, ensuring full compliance with client specifications and requirements.
  • Produce clear, concise, and persuasive bid content within strict deadlines.
  • Review, edit, and enhance existing bid materials to maximise quality and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to gather evidence, technical information, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all submissions are fully compliant with tender instructions and evaluation criteria.
  • Prepare supporting materials and content for bid presentations and interviews.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the company''s bid library, including case studies, project profiles, and team CVs, working closely with the marketing team.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues, helping to develop bid-writing capabilities across the wider team.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in public sector bid management.
  • Proven experience in public sector bid writing.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills with high levels of accountability, integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to team success.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Desirable Criteria


Whilst not essential, the following would be advantageous:

  • Third-level qualification (degree or equivalent).
  • Previous experience within the construction, facilities management, mechanical, or electrical sectors.
  • A minimum of three years'' experience in a similar bid management or bid writing role.
