Exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager - -50-60k

No Visa sponsorship

Our client, one of the biggest players in the UK but also on a global scale, is currently looking for a Bid Manager in East Yorkshire.

Ideally someone with a background within manufacturing/logistics but other backgrounds could be considered as well.

About you :

  • As a bid manager, you will need to have great communicating skills
  • You will be speaking with the internal team but also external : Stakeholders, subcontractors, clients etch.
  • Highly educated with a degree in engineering, or with proven working record within bidding management.
  • Preferably candidates who worked as: Bid manager, Tender Manager, or Proposal Engineer. Candidates with backgrounds in Project Management, Project Coordination, Design Management will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office and cross-functional teams including Legal, Technical, Commercial, and Design to ensure seamless bid execution.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership and Business Development Managers to evaluate opportunities and define winning strategies for each bid.
  • Initiate and lead bid kick-off sessions, making sure all stakeholders understand time-lines, responsibilities, and strategic direction.
  • Conduct market and client research to identify key differentiators and strengthen the bid narrative.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of presentations for internal bid/no-bid decision-making forums.
  • Lead the development and presentation of client-facing proposals where a formal pitch is required.
  • Write clear, compelling, and customised content tailored to meet the specific needs of each client and project.
  • Coordinate responses to RFIs and manage the clarification process with customers during the bid life cycle.
  • Engage with third-party collaborators such as subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and strategic partners as required.
  • Ensure full adherence to established tender and proposal processes.
  • Accurately monitor bid-related expenses and ensure financial tracking aligns with budgetary expectations.
  • Support the handover process from Sales to Project Delivery teams following contract awards.
  • Take personal responsibility for health and safety in the workplace, ensuring that actions do not compromise the wellbeing of oneself or others.
  • Adhere to all organisational health and safety protocols, policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure all visitors under your responsibility follow the company''s safety guidelines and visitor management procedures.
