Overview

Bid Manager job description. Due to growth of the Bid Team, we are seeking another Bid Manager to join any of our 10 UK office locations (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Glasgow, Cheltenham, Bristol, Amersham, Guildford), with quarterly travel to Birmingham. This is a permanent position with hybrid working. We welcome applicants from a Bids Coordinator or Assistant seeking the next step, or an experienced Bid Manager.We can fund you through APMP or Capture Planning certification, and more!Responsibilities

Fully owning and taking responsibility for tender projectsEnsuring the production of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and Presentations in accordance with agreed deadlines, and carrying out research to facilitate tender completionWorking with the Bid Designer to produce a high quality bid response documentEnsuring win themes are developed that meet the client’s objectives and Barnett Waddingham propositionStoryboard and outline with the team to provide a golden thread throughout the tenderIdentify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevantDeliver completed written proposal responses to the Head of Bid Management against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as requiredRewrite/edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical / product teams, finance, commercial, legal and deliveryProject work; writing case studiesProactively gaining testimonials where examples of good work are highlighted and proactively identifying areas of tender improvementMaintain APMP knowledge and best practiceQualifications

Previous experience in a similar Bid role and experience working in a professional services environment would be advantageousProven skills in producing and editing proposal content within a complex business environmentThe bid writer will be experienced in leading storyboarding sessions, participating in key review meetings / final document review, content sign-off and document productionExperience coordinating and updating a work management system and Bid Library is beneficialA relevant qualification, supported by an APMP accreditation is preferable but not essentialMust be a self-starter, highly organised, and able to work well with colleagues at all levels in the organisationExcellent time management / prioritization skills as well as Tender Management are essential for this roleProfessional services experience is beneficialPension experience is a real benefitBenefits
