Bid Engineer

Do you have experience working within Precision Engineering? (CNC Machining) Have you got previous experience estimating and preparing proposals within the precision engineering field? Role: Bid Engineer / Proposals Engineer / Estimator - Aerospace department Location: Derby - 2/3 days in the office Salary: 55,000 to 60,000 DOE Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 1pm Role: Permanent Holidays and Benefits: Pension, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays + Xmas shut down, BUPA health care, free onsite parking. Overview: Working within a first-class precision engineering business that manufacture components with methods such as CNC Machining, Sheet metal and Fabrication, we now require a Bid Engineer to join the team. Responsible for leading the estimating process for new business opportunities, particularly - preparing accurate and timely cost estimates and competitive proposals. The role involves analysing customer requirements and technical data, collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Strategic Sourcing teams, and engaging with machine tool and cutting tool suppliers to determine manufacturing solutions and investment needs.
