BI Developer

A growing UK-based organisation is looking for a technically strong Power BI Developer to join its central BI function, supporting business-critical financial and operational reporting.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable reporting solutions, developing robust semantic models, and working closely with stakeholders to turn business requirements into meaningful insight. The position offers a strong mix of hands-on Power BI development, data modelling, and analytical problem-solving.Key RequirementsStrong commercial experience developing Power BI reports and semantic modelsAdvanced Power BI and DAX expertiseStrong SQL skills for querying, validation, and analysisStrong understanding of star schema and BI data modelling best practicesExperience working with financial or KPI-driven reporting environmentsAbility to troubleshoot reporting, data model, and visualisation issues independentlyStrong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutionsNice to HaveExperience with Power BI Service, deployment, workspace management, governance, and securityUnderstanding of data warehousing concepts and upstream data structuresExposure to finance would be great, but not essentialResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reportsDevelop complex DAX calculations and reporting logicCreate scalable and reusable reporting structuresWork directly with stakeholders to gather ..... full job details .....
