Assembly / Benchhands

Barker Ross are recruiting for Assembly bench operatives to work for our client based in Falkirk.

This is ongoing, full-time work that will lead to a permanent position with our client. The role would suit candidates with proven experience in a manufacturing or construction industry. Working on assembly tables as part of the team of 4-6 operatives with a chargehand as lead, assembling wall panels or floor cassettes

• Pay: -14.50 per hour
• Hours: 38hrs paid
• A productivity bonus scheme will be introduced enabling employees to earn a further 20% of their salary
• Mon-Thu 7:30-16:30
• Fri- 7:30-14:00
• 1hour break: 15 min morning and 45 min lunch. Friday

Duties:
- Unload components from trolleys delivered to work area
- Lift/ move products individually or as a pair (6kg-20kg)
- Layout out components in correct order referring to layout drawings as required.
- Using battery power tools to fasten light steel components
- Apply labelling, undertake dimensional and quality checks
- Fasten cement particle board or metal deck sheets to assemble metal frame
- Attach lifting slings.
- Operation of assembly tables and overhead crane (training provided)
- General housekeeping

Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a busy team.
- Self-motivated, conscientious, and enthusiastic.
- Good timekeeping and attendance.
- Keen, flexible, adaptable with a positive attitude.
- Physically fit
- Previous experience in manufacturing or construction environment is beneficial.
