Behavioural Teaching Assistant Mainstream Primary School Pay: £95 per day Start Date: September 2026 Reed Education are seeking an experienced Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Scunthorpe from September 2026. The school is looking for a confident and compassionate individual who has experience supporting children with behavioural needs, including those who are vulnerable, looked after, or have experienced trauma. You will play a key role in helping children feel safe, supported and ready to engage with learning. The Role Provide one-to-one and small group behavioural support. Build positive relationships that encourage trust and engagement. Support children with social, emotional and mental health needs. Use effective behaviour management techniques to promote positive outcomes. Assist pupils in developing emotional regulation and coping strategies. Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and safeguarding professionals. Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience working with vulnerable children, looked after children, or children affected by trauma. Strong behaviour management skills are essential. Minimum relevant Level 2 qualification in Education, Childcare, Teaching Assistant Practice, Youth Work, Health and Social Care or equivalent.
