Are you a resilient and motivated Behaviour Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support?

Do you have experience working with children who display challenging behaviour, or an interest in behaviour management and SEMH support?

A specialist provision in Reading is seeking a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The successful Behaviour Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils who require additional support to engage positively in education and develop effective coping strategies.

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, psychologists, youth workers, or support professionals looking to gain valuable experience in education.

This Behaviour Teaching Assistant role will involve:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group behavioural support
  * Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage challenging behaviours
  * Building positive and trusting relationships with students
  * Supporting learning and engagement across the curriculum
  * Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents
  * Promoting a safe and positive school environment

The ideal Behaviour Teaching Assistant will have excellent communication skills, strong emotional resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people. Experience within schools, youth work, care settings, or behaviour support roles would be beneficial.
