Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker - SEMH School Area: HX2, Halifax Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Rate: 90 - 110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Role Overview: We are looking for a resilient, patient and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Worker to join the school on a full-time, long-term basis. You will support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them to manage their emotions, behaviour and engagement within the classroom. Building strong and trusting relationships will be a key part of the role, alongside providing consistent boundaries and positive behaviour support. This could be an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in SEMH, SEN, youth work, residential care, support work or other roles supporting children and young people with additional needs and challenging behaviour. Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and act as a consistent role model.Support pupils with emotional regulation, engagement and positive behaviour.Use appropriate behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.Support pupils to access learning and remain engaged within the classroom.Encourage the development of confidence, resilience, independence and social skills.Work closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team to provide consistent ..... full job details .....
