We are seeking a passionate and resilient Behaviour Support Worker Lead to join a specialist education setting that supports children and young people with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning whilst leading and supporting a dedicated team of behaviour support professionals. About the Role As Behaviour Support Worker Lead, you will be responsible for promoting positive behaviour strategies across the school, supporting pupils who may display behaviours that challenge, and acting as a role model for best practice. Working closely with teaching staff, therapists and senior leaders, you will help create a safe, nurturing environment where every young person can thrive. You will also provide guidance, mentoring and day-to-day support to behaviour support staff, ensuring consistent implementation of behaviour management approaches across the provision. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a team of Behaviour Support Workers. Develop positive relationships with pupils, helping them regulate emotions and engage in learning. Manage and de-escalate challenging situations using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches. Support the implementation of individual behaviour support plans.
