Behaviour Support Mentor - Primary School (Bridgwater)Location: Bridgwater, SomersetHours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30 (Term Time Only)Pay: £14.96 - £16.59 per hour (dependant on experience and pay type)Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bridgwater. This is a rewarding, full-time role supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who presents challenging behaviour.We are seeking someone patient, resilient, and confident in building strong, trusting relationships with children who require additional emotional and behavioural support.The Role1:1 support for a primary-aged pupil with SEN and behavioural needsHelping the pupil stay regulated, engaged, and ready to learnImplementing behaviour plans and personalised strategiesSupporting emotional development through positive, trauma-informed approachesWorking closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionalsCreating a safe, supportive environment that promotes inclusion and progressThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Experience supporting children with behavioural needs, SEN, SEMH, or similarA calm, nurturing, and patient approachStrong behaviour management and de-escalation skillsThe ability to build rapport quickly and maintain consistent boundariesA genuine passion for helping children thriveAn enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to apply)Right to Work in the UKWhy Join Prospero Teaching?Competitive hourly payFREE, ..... full job details .....
