Behaviour Support Worker

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with behavioural and emotional needs

• Support teaching staff in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour plans

• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Use de-escalation and positive reinforcement techniques to support students'' progress

• Build strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families

• Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (in schools, youth work, or care settings)

• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

• Confidence in managing challenging situations

• Teamwork and communication skills

• A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA, or similar) is a bonus but not essential
