Behaviour Support Teaching AssistantLocation: PlymouthPay: £14.61 per hourStart date: ASAPReed Education are working in partnership with a primary school in Plymouth to recruit an experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant for a September start.This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident Teaching Assistant who thrives in a dynamic classroom environment and can provide consistent, adaptable support to pupils with behavioural needs.About the roleYou will be primarily supporting two pupils within a mainstream primary classroom. One pupil can present with fluctuating engagement, including refusal to follow instructions and sudden changes in mindset. The second pupil, currently undergoing the EHCP process, requires additional but more manageable support.The role requires close, proactive support to ensure both pupils can access learning while maintaining a positive environment for the wider class.Key responsibilitiesProvide one to one and small group support within the classroomSupport a pupil who may disengage or refuse tasks, even when motivated by preferred activitiesUse a range of approaches, including calm, reassuring or enthusiastic communicationSupport transitions between activities, including the use of visual timetablesHelp pupils regulate behaviour and remain engaged in learningAdapt quickly when tasks are completed, supporting the wider class where requiredPromote a positive and inclusive learning environmentThe ideal candidateHas proven experience supporting ..... full job details .....
