The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will support students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and within the classroom, helping them manage their behaviour, regulate their emotions and access learning successfully.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting students with ASC / ADHD / SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
- Building positive, professional relationships that encourage trust and engagement.
- Using effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
- Promoting emotional regulation, resilience and positive routines.
- Working cohesively with teachers, pastoral staff and SEN professionals.
- Using initiative and confidence when working independently with students.
- Helping to maintain a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.

We''re looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
- Has an engaging, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
- Demonstrates strong behaviour management skills and remains calm under pressure.
- Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Is patient, resilient and committed to making a positive impact.
- Has experience in behaviour support, SEN, SEMH, youth work or education (desirable).
- Holds Team Teach training, or is willing to undertake it (desirable but not essential).
