Behaviour Support Assistant
We are seeking a calm, resilient, and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bolton. The role involves working closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, or additional learning needs, providing consistent support to help them engage positively with learning.This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils'' emotional and behavioural development.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour supportSupport pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategiesImplement behaviour plans and strategies set by the SENCO or leadership teamDe-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectivelyBuild strong, trusting relationships with pupilsSupport learning both in and out of the classroomWork collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teamsRequirements:Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs (school or care setting preferred)Calm, patient, and consistent approachStrong behaviour management and communication skillsAbility to remain resilient in challenging situationsCommitment to safeguarding and child ..... full job details .....
