You will be working on a one-to-one basis or in small groups with pupils, so the ability to build a rapport with pupils is essential. The right applicant will be required to be flexible and adaptable in their approach as each child is dealt with on an individual basis.You will be assisting and motivating pupils who may display challenging behaviours, and so you must be capable and confident in dealing with these behaviours and ideally have teaching and behaviour strategies to help overcome this.
