Salary: £95 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a highly regarded secondary school in Mansfield that is known as one of the best schools in the local area. The school has a supportive team, a positive approach to inclusion and has achieved a ‘Good’ OFSTED rating.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant on a long-term supply basis from September, supporting secondary-aged pupils including providing 1:1 support where required. The successful Behaviour Mentor will help pupils displaying challenging behaviour to remain engaged in learning, promote positive behaviour and support the school’s inclusive approach.

The successful Behaviour Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people
• Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
• Experience providing 1:1 support
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• A positive and inclusive approach to supporting young people
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
