Behaviour Support Assistant
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist Alternative Provision in Nottingham that is committed to supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The setting provides a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where students are encouraged to build confidence, develop resilience, and achieve positive outcomes through personalised support.We are looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to join this dedicated team from September. The successful Behaviour Mentor will work closely with students on a one-to-one and small group basis, delivering targeted interventions, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting engagement both inside and outside of the classroom. This Behaviour Mentor role is ideal for someone with SEMH experience who can build positive relationships with young people, with previous experience in a therapeutic setting being highly desirable.The successful Behaviour Mentor will have:• At least 6 months'' experience working within a UK education setting or similar environment• Experience supporting students with SEMH and challenging behaviour• Previous experience delivering interventions to support behaviour and learning• A good understanding of trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches• Experience working within a therapeutic setting is desirable• Excellent communication skills with a patient, resilient, and proactive approachIn return for the above you can expect to receive:• A dedicated team of consultants available ..... full job details .....
