Behaviour Support Assistant

Supply Desk are currently working with a Specialist Primary School in Haywards Heath who are looking for full time Behaviour Support Assistants to support their pupils. This is a specialist school based in an attractive area with large grounds and excellent facilities including a forest school area and sports pitches. The classes consist of 8 pupils per class with needs such as SEMH and ASC.

Requirements:

- Must have access to a car due to rural location

- Experience working with children (in or our of a classroom)andnbsp;

- Experience and/or knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and shaping the future of children and young people. SEN/SEMH school experience is an advantage but we welcome applications from a variety of backgrounds including:

- Sports coaching

- Youth work

- Social work

- Foster carers

- Care work

- Residential children''s homes

Responsibilities of the role include:andnbsp;

- Supporting pupils in and out of the classroom both academically and with their behaviour

- Partaking in outdoor activities with the pupils such as forest school and sports

- Working 1:1 with pupils to support with engaging activities to keep them regulated

- Managing challenging behaviour in line with the school behaviour policy
