Behaviour Support AssistantAbout the Role:We are looking for a dependable, proactive and resilient individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This is a practical, active role suited to someone who is confident, steady under pressure, and ready to get stuck in to support young people in a meaningful way.You will work closely with students with a range of additional needs, supporting them throughout the school day both in and out of the classroom. The role calls for patience, consistency, and a calm, firm approach.Key Responsibilities:Supporting students with learning, behaviour, and day-to-day routinesAssisting the class teacher with lessons and structured activitiesWorking one-to-one or with small groups to reinforce learningManaging challenging behaviour with confidence and consistencySupporting students during break times, transitions, and off-site activitiesAssisting with personal care, including toileting and hygiene needsWho We''re Looking For:The ideal candidate will:Be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a teamHave a calm, confident, and approachable mannerBe physically active and comfortable in a hands-on roleBe willing to support students with personal care needsCommunicate clearly and build strong, respectful relationshipsBe adaptable, practical, and ready to take initiativeExperience working with children or young people is helpful, but not essentialWhat We Offer:A strong, supportive team ..... full job details .....
