Behaviour Support Assistant Alternative ProvisionLocation: Hull Full Time Start Date: ASAPGSL Education Hull are currently looking to appoint a proactive and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to work within an alternative provision setting on a full-time basis.This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who face barriers to learning due to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The provision offers a structured and nurturing environment, focused on re-engaging learners, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting both academic and personal development.Role Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needsAssist in the delivery of tailored lessons and intervention strategiesSupport the implementation of behaviour management plansUse de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour effectivelyBuild strong, positive relationships with students to encourage engagementWork collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams Candidate Requirements: Previous experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour is desirableStrong behaviour management and communication skillsA calm, patient, and resilient approachA genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young peopleRelevant qualifications or training (e.g., Team Teach, PMVA) are advantageous Why Work with GSL Education: Competitive daily rates of payDedicated consultant support throughout your placementAccess to ongoing training and professional ..... full job details .....
