Aspire People are looking for resilient, engaging and committed individuals to work within Primary Schools supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), emotional regulation difficulties and behaviours that can challenge. You don''t necessarily need to have followed a traditional route into education. Some of the skills schools value most can be developed through youth work, sports coaching, children''s residential care, mentoring, community work and other roles supporting children and young people. What makes someone successful in this role? The ability to build trust. The resilience to start again tomorrow when today hasn''t gone to plan. The confidence to maintain clear and consistent boundaries while understanding that behaviour is often communicating an unmet need.
