These students come from tough backgrounds and have been exposed to adverse childhood experiences. They have not been modelled healthy ways to regulate and process their emotions, and struggle with understanding their emotions. They all have specialised and tailored support programmes in place to support their needs, with goals in mind, to ensure that they have the correct coping strategies to carry them into adulthood. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural needs in the classroom.
