ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behavioral Support Specialist to work within Schools in Birmingham. The role-A Behavior Support Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting individuals who may have challenging behaviors, often in educational or therapeutic settings. -Their primary responsibility is to assist and implement strategies designed to address and manage challenging behaviors. -Assisting in the development of individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment findings. -Working closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure consistency in implementing behavior interventions.The School -Foster a positive and inclusive environment by promoting positive reinforcement and alternative, more adaptive behaviors. -Stay informed about current research, best practices, and trends in behavior support through continuous professional development. -Constant Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure consistency in behavior management. -Following an embedded ethos to ensure students can reach their full potential. About you:To be considered for the Behaviour Support Assistant, you will: Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with studentsAble to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
