I am currently working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Enfield that is seeking dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistants to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with Team Teach training who are passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.About the School The school provides a nurturing and structured environment for pupils aged 7-16 who have SEMH needs and associated behavioural challenges. Staff work collaboratively to create a safe, consistent and supportive setting where students can re-engage with learning and develop positive coping strategies.The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider pastoral team to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.Key responsibilities include:Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needsSupporting students with emotional regulation and behaviour managementImplementing behaviour support plans consistentlyAssisting with de-escalation strategies in line with Team Teach principlesBuilding positive, trusting relationships with pupilsSupporting academic progress across a range of subjectsThe Ideal CandidateHolds valid Team Teach training (essential)Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH needsDemonstrates strong behaviour management skillsIs ..... full job details .....
