A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Hackney is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated pastoral team on a 12-month role, starting September 2025.This is a full-time opportunity, ideal for someone who is calm, resilient, and eager to make a lasting impact on the lives of students facing behavioural or emotional challenges.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-to-one mentoring and small group interventions to students across KS3 and KS4Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties (BESD/SEMH)Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to implement consistent behaviour strategiesPromote a respectful, inclusive school culture and positive student conductAssist in managing incidents using de-escalation techniques and restorative approachesWhat We''re Looking For:Experience supporting secondary-aged students, especially those with SEMH or behavioural needsA calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour managementExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to remain professional and solution-focused under pressureRelevant qualifications or training in youth work, mental health, or behaviour support (desirable but not essential)What the School Offers:A strong pastoral focus and inclusive ethosAccess to training and ongoing professional developmentA collaborative staff team committed to student welfareConvenient transport ..... full job details .....
