Behaviour MentorStart Date: ASAPLocation: NewhamFull-timeSalary: 108- 115 per day, depending on experienceAbout the role and schoolTeach Plus are working with a welcoming primary school in Newham that is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional and pastoral support.The successful Behaviour Mentor will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to help pupils develop positive behaviour, emotional regulation and confidence in the classroom.This role would suit an experienced Behaviour Mentor, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or someone with a background in youth work, sports coaching or pastoral support who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide targeted support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needsDevelop positive relationships with pupils and act as a consistent role modelSupport pupils with emotional regulation and social developmentImplement agreed behaviour strategies and interventionsProvide 1:1 and small-group support where requiredEncourage positive behaviour and engagement with learningWork closely with class teachers and SEN staffSupport pupils during transitions and less structured periodsMonitor progress and communicate relevant information to staffHelp create a calm, safe and inclusive school environmentQualifications/ExperiencePrevious experience supporting children or young peopleExperience with behaviour, ..... full job details .....
