We are seeking an enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join a mainstream secondary school in High Wycombe, starting in September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in behaviour management, youth work, or mentoring who is looking to have a direct impact on studentsandrsquo; education and emotional wellbeing.
About the Role:
- Provide in-class support and lead small group interventions to reinforce learning.
- Help reduce barriers to learning by supporting pupils with behavioural or emotional challenges.
- Mentor students to develop confidence, motivation, and emotional resilience.
- Assist teachers in promoting a calm, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Record behaviour incidents accurately and contribute to the planning and implementation of targeted interventions.
The ideal candidate will:
- Proven experience supporting students with behavioural needs in educational or youth work settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships
- Approaches challenges with calmness, patience, and consistency
- Dedicated to fostering positive behaviour and supporting emotional self-regulation
- Collaborative team member with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset
- Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain prior to starting)
