As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, build self-regulation skills, and re-engage with their education.
Job Description:
vandnbsp; Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties (BESD) through targeted interventions and mentoring
vandnbsp; Working closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and teaching staff to implement personalised behaviour support plans
vandnbsp; Promoting positive behaviour for learning using trauma-informed and restorative approaches
vandnbsp; Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions to develop emotional literacy, resilience, and self-esteem
vandnbsp; Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult, building strong, respectful relationships with students
The Ideal Candidate Will:
vandnbsp; Have experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or pastoral setting
vandnbsp; Be confident in managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation and proactive strategies
vandnbsp; Demonstrate excellent communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills
vandnbsp; Be passionate about inclusion, safeguarding, and supporting students with complex needs
vandnbsp; Hold a current enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one
