Behaviour Mentor

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join their team from September 2026.This is a rewarding opportunity to provide dedicated support to a Key Stage 2 pupil who requires additional assistance with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team to help the pupil achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.The successful candidate will:Have previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, or within a similar support roleHave experience supporting children with behavioural, emotional, or additional learning needs in a primary school settingBe confident implementing positive behaviour management strategiesBe patient, calm, resilient, and able to build trusting relationships with pupilsHave excellent communication and teamwork skillsBe passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learningThe role will involve:Providing 1:1 support for a Key Stage 2 pupil throughout the school daySupporting the pupil with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategiesEncouraging engagement, independence, and confidence in the classroomWorking closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support plansPromoting positive social interactions and helping the pupil develop strong relationships with peersMonitoring progress and ..... full job details .....
