Behaviour Mentor Location: Lewisham, SE13 Contract: Long-term Day Rate: 108- 120 Start Date: ASAP Commutable From: Greenwich, Southwark, Bromley, Peckham The Opportunity: Long Term Futures are seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in the Lewisham area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people overcome behavioural and emotional barriers to learning. You will work closely with pupils who require additional support with behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation, helping them develop positive habits and successfully access education.Your Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring for pupils with behavioural or emotional needsImplement behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniquesSupport pupils in managing emotions and developing positive coping strategiesPromote positive behaviour, resilience, and engagement with learningWork alongside teachers and pastoral staff to support behaviour management in lessonsMonitor and record pupil progress and behaviour outcomes Requirements:Experience working with young people in a school, mentoring, youth work, or support roleStrong communication and behaviour management skillsCalm, resilient, and consistent approach in challenging situationsAbility to build positive relationships with pupils from diverse backgroundsUnderstanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, and behaviour support strategies Why Long Term Futures?Complimentary CPD ..... full job details .....
