Behaviour Mentors are expected to provide consistent structure, strong boundaries and a calm environment. You will respond confidently to behavioural incidents while maintaining a supportive and regulated learning environment ensuring the pupils are always safe.About the Role Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, your responsibilities will include: Providing dedicated 1:1 behaviour support throughout the school day Supporting the pupil to regulate emotions and remain engaged in learning Implementing behaviour plans and strategies agreed by the SENCo Using positive handling / restraint techniques when required in line with school policy Supporting learning during lessons while maintaining behaviour boundaries Monitoring behaviour and feeding back to staff to ensure consistent supportIdeal Candidate Profile Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, and SEMH needs Positive handling / restraint training (e.g. Team Teach or similar) Calm, confident and able to remain regulated during behavioural incidents Strong de-escalation and behaviour management skills Able to build trust while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries Previous experience in settings with ..... full job details .....
