Your new companyHays Education are working in close partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. This is a long-term position starting after Easter, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right individual.Your New RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support to students who display challenging behaviour or require additional emotional and behavioural guidance to succeed in school.You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation, working proactively to help pupils remain in lessons and access learning effectively.Key responsibilities include:Providing 1:1 and small-group behavioural supportImplementing behaviour strategies and individual support plansSupporting pupils with emotional regulation and social developmentEncouraging positive behaviour and re-engagement with learningWorking closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and the SENCOSupporting pupils in line with school behaviour policies and individual needsWhat you''ll need to succeedPrevious experience working with children or young people in a behavioural, pastoral or mentoring roleA calm, resilient and consistent approach to behaviour managementStrong communication and relationship-building skillsA genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional behavioural or emotional ..... full job details .....
