Location: North LondonRole: Behaviour Mentor Contract: Full-Time, Long-TermStart Date: ASAPAbout the RoleWe are currently recruiting an experienced and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist SEMH school in Enfield, supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.The pupils all have Education, Health and Care Plans with SEMH as their primary area of need.As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play an important role in helping pupils to regulate their emotions, manage their behaviour, engage positively with education and develop stronger relationships with both staff and peers.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people who may have experienced barriers to education and require a consistent, patient and positive adult presence.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.Building strong, positive and professional relationships with pupils.Supporting pupils who may display challenging or dysregulated behaviour.Using positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to prevent situations from escalating.Helping pupils identify triggers and develop healthier strategies for managing anger, frustration and difficult emotions.Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, resilience, self-esteem and social skills.Encouraging pupils to re-engage with learning following periods of dysregulation.Supporting teachers with behaviour management ..... full job details .....
