Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in the Middleton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students'' lives and work as part of a committed pastoral and inclusion team.
This full-time position is ideal for someone who has previous experience working in secondary school settings, particularly with students displaying challenging behaviour or those in need of additional emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with behaviour management strategies
Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Implement behaviour support plans in collaboration with teaching and pastoral staff
Help to reduce exclusions and improve student engagement
Act as a positive role model, building strong and trusting relationships with pupils
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a secondary school environment is essential
Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding procedures
Calm, resilient and empathetic approach to supporting young people
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Must be available to work 5 days per week and start immediately
